I Love You

Payel got her first hit in “ I Love You” The plot is based on love between a rich boy and a poor girl. Puja (Payel) comes to Rahul’s place to attend his sisters wedding who is her best friend and falls in love with Rahul. But Rahul’s family was against their relationship. They humiliate puja and her elder brother (Tapas Paul) her of scheming to marry Rahul. Puja leaves in tears and distances herself from Rahul. Rahul defies his father and is disinherited. He goes to Puja's village and begs to be allowed to marry her. Puja’s brother says that he will allow the marriage on one condition: Rahul must prove that he can support a wife by his own efforts. Atlast Rahul manages to win his heart and marries Puja.

Cross Connection

This is a love story with the modern gen X in mind. There is romance, there is cynicism, ambition and love. Above all there is comedy and a touch of sex without which no love story is complete. Cross connection deals with Imon’s three loves, Aakash’s three loves and Piya’s switches and Vicky’s intentions.
This is a love story where egos clash to raise a laugh.
Imon: A sexy young thing in love with her muse and all the men around her.
But who or what does she love most?
Akaash: Loves poetry, beer and good looking girls not quite in that order. But the order keeps changing as his moods demand.
Vicky: Loves pretty young things, which man doesn’t? But he loves driving more especially if a sexy young thing sits next to him. And he has no dearth of getting them ‘cos he is tall, dark and handsome, on top of it has the right qualifications and job.
Piya: Pretty Piya is quite a dreamy number. Boys love her, men lust after her, but who will finally get her?
Cross Connection deals with follies of youth, where landladies’ are the greatest fears in life.
The film has comedy, romance and love. Along with it Neel Dutt’s peppy music. Anjan Dutt, Rupankar, Ujjaini and some fresh new voices have sung the 6 numbers. The lyrics are by Anjan Dutt, Chandril, Anindya(Chandrabindu), Sumit Samaddar and Srijit.

Prem Amar

The plot: Rabi (Soham) is everything that Ria (Payel) is not. She is an engineering student, who takes care of her ailing father (Biswajit Chakraborty) and decides to marry the man he has chosen. He is a road Romeo, who fails in his exams and gets thrashed by his father. So, his life changes when she comes to live in his colony. Ria tries to make a man out of Rabi but the journey of love is fraught with risks.
The direction: Prem Amar has its moments, but Chirodini... Tumi Je Aamar and Challenge were a better watch. Besides, Prem Amar has a strong Chirodini-Challenge hangover. Soham’s Rabi is a bit of Dev from Challenge and Rahul from Chirodini. And he is too angry for comfort — Rabi fumes, frets and explodes at the drop of a hat. Then, Rabi and Ria go to the theatres to watch Dev and Subhashree fall in love in Challenge for a good 10 minutes. Raj also makes Rabi and his gang sing Dev’s Pantey taali item number from Chirodini.
The performances: Payel surprises with her restrained girl-next-door act. Why doesn’t she do more Bangla films? But Soham overdoes it; there’s too much of muscle contortion.
The fun factor: Rabi’s boy gang is fun to watch, especially Partha who plays his best buddy. Partha’s antics draw the most ceetis and taalis.
The song and dance: Cinematographer Somak Mukherjee was brought in specially to shoot two songs in Leh, and the effort was worth it. The white-and-grey Himalayan landscape has been captured splendidly. Jeet Gannguli’s music has variety — all the tracks sound different. Ek cup cha khasta lero takes the cake

Le Chakka

The story is basically about a North Kolkata’s Dargipara where people are living with their old tradition; they have their own cricket team also “11 Bullets” the team with 11 inefficient player who love cricket passionately but do not know how to play and they have been defeated by DOVERLANE DAREDEVILS where the captain of the team is Abir Bose(Dev) who has coincidentally come to live to this Para from South Kolkata and after that cultural clash between Ghati and Bengal has started between Abir and Rani(Payel) as well as other member of the same Para .But slowly slowly this clash between abir and rani make them closer and they fall in love each other. Then Abir also start liking the other inhabitant of the Para. But in the meantime two political parties wants to divide the Para for their political advantage .At this moment how Abir has use the cricket as a weapon to build the unity between Para members and trained them how to play cricket and how he has solved the problem that is story all about.
